Teacher Biographies
Danielle Talamantes has been on the roster of the Metropolitan Opera in NYC since 2011. She has performed in major concert halls all over the US and internationally. Her two critically acclaimed CDs, Canciones españolas and Heaven & Earth - A Duke Ellington Songbook, can be found on the MSR Classics label as well as Amazon and iTunes. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).
Kerry Wilkerson has sung with the professional choruses of the United States Air Force, United States Army, Carnegie Hall Choral Workshops and the critically acclaimed Robert Shaw Festival Singers. As a military musician he has sung extensively throughout the United States in many of our nation's finest performance halls. Upon military retirement in 2018, Mr. Wilkerson joined the music faculty at George Mason University as an Adjunct Professor of Applied Voice. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (BM) and George Mason University (MA).
As teachers of singing, Ms. Talamantes & Mr. Wilkerson began collaborating with their northern VA based voice studios in the fall of 2001, working with singers of all ages and stages. Many of their students have won major competitions, participated in prestigious summer festivals, graduated with music degrees at renowned universities and gone on to have successful careers in the music industry. After marrying in 2014, they combined their private studios to form the Talamantes Wilkerson Voice Studio, which they now jointly operate from their home in Oakton, Virginia.
